Horizon Brochure
Adult Catechesis
To assist in the catechesis (meaning to echo in Greek) of adults who wish to
delve more deeply into the relationship of God and His People, the Adult
Catechesis program offers on going classes in Scripture, liturgy, and the
teachings of the Catholic Church.
Currently, Bible Study is offered during the CRE class times on Sunday
morning (9:15-10:30) & Wednesday afternoon (4:15-5:30) for adults who wish to
learn more about the Holy Scriptures. Tuesday evening from 7:00-9:00, classes
are offered on the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
Depending on interest, free Saturday seminars are offered once a month from
September through April on various topics of interest to mature Catholic
learners: the liturgical year, preparing for Advent and Lent, the Mass, Catholic
tradition and prayer.
The parish sponsors a mission or retreat every year at the beginning of the
school year. Also, reading material is available through the Church, Religious
Education Center and other sources in our faith community.
Contact Mary Cahill at the Parish Office at 303-838-0338 to register.
